We've all heard companies ask for a brochure and I'm sure we've all stopped to consider if it will be the last we hear of things. Consequently when we were asked to review a client's existing brochure we also considered at length the product they sold, in this case, they were designers and makers of fine furniture. Looking further into the lead times for their goods it was perfectly normal to find that many potential customers don't even know if they will ever need their support, so the idea of producing a brochure that once received would be consigned to a filing cabinet only to be discarded before it was ever needed, seemed a waste of the clients resources.
The option we came up with was to produce a regular series of glossy case studies that discussed the extent of specifically complex or prestigious commissions in some detail, and across various markets. These would be stored in a beautifully produced ring binder, crafted from FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) and recyclable materials with a biodegradable laminate cover.
Whilst the binder could have been disposed of safely, it was so well crafted that ethically it made it difficult for individuals to discard, meaning it is always ready to receive the latest reminder of the firm's capabilities the moment the next case study in the series lands on the desk. It's never out-of-date because it builds up a storyboard of the firm's work.
We can design ring binders, folders, presentation cases, wallets, pockets, manuals, and almost any other type of promotional product, limited by imagination only.
